Seven Rivers Visitor Information
Current Visitor Guidelines
The Bravera Health approach to patient care depends greatly on engaging families to be part of the healing process. Visitors are welcome as long as the patient consents to receiving guests. Our visitation guidelines are based on guidance from the CDC and are in compliance with the No Patient Left Alone Act. These visitation guidelines help us maintain the safety of our patients, families and essential caregivers while providing for visitation.
Visitor Guidelines
- Visiting hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., 7 days per week. Also, essential caregivers will be allowed two additional hours outside the normal visitation..
- All visitors must enter through the front lobby entrance to check in. Each patient admitted to the hospital will be allowed two visitors at a time.
- Minor visitors under 12 years of age shall be accompanied and supervised by an adult other than the patient at all times.
- Visitation in our intensive care unit may have further restrictions due to limited capacity to accommodate visitors and condition of the patient. The time of visitation and duration of the visit will be determined by the ICU director or charge nurse. Each patient will be allowed to have a visitor for a minimum time of at least 2 hours per day.
- Emergency room patients are allowed one visitor in the treatment room once the patient is stabilized. The physician or charge nurse in the emergency room may restrict visitation for any patient based on the patient condition or available space in the emergency department to ensure the safety of all concerned. If visitation is limited, each patient will be allowed to have a visitor for a minimum time of at least 2 hours per day. Once the emergency room patient is admitted, the visitor will follow the inpatient visitation rules that apply above.
- Our requirement for masking follows the CDC guidelines. Current masking requirements are available at visitors check-in.
- Perform hand hygiene frequently with an alcohol-based hand rub if your hands are not visibly dirty or with soap and water if hands are dirty.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
- Practice respiratory hygiene by coughing or sneezing into a bent elbow or tissue and then immediately disposing of the tissue.
- Masking and proper PPE is required:
- When visiting a patient with confirmed or suspected COVID infection. These requirements apply also to patients on other isolation precautions, such as flu, etc. It is also recommended when visiting patients with other respiratory infections, even though not on isolation precautions (e.g., those with runny nose, cough, sneeze); or
- If the visitor had close contact or a higher-risk exposure with someone with COVID infection, for 10 days after the exposure; or
- When entering as a visitor to a unit or area of the facility experiencing a COVID outbreak at which time masking is required; or
- When masking or source control is recommended by the physician if the patient is moderately or severely immunocompromised.
Special Considerations in effect:
- The ambulatory surgery center will open early Monday through Friday at 5:30 a.m. to allow for patients entering for surgical, endoscopy and cath lab procedures. The main hospital entrance will open at 7 a.m. for patients undergoing other outpatient diagnostic procedures, such as imaging and lab.
Bravera Health Seven Rivers strives to ensure the safety of our patients, visitors, staff and physicians. We appreciate the community’s understanding and compliance with these guidelines.
