Spring Hill History
To meet the needs of the growing Spring Hill population, Bravera Health Spring Hill opened in 1991 as a 75-bed acute care facility offering a wide array of essential medical and surgical services.
In 1998, the hospital, then called Spring Hill Regional, became part of Hernando HealthCare. Our hospital would continue to grow and to become an even more robust, vigorous part of this community. We hit the ground running delivering and securing advanced technology and adding needed services such as wound healing and hyperbaric medicine.
In 2003, we completed a major 10,000-square foot obstetrics expansion, which increased the number of private delivery suites from eight to 14 and added the area's only Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Nursery (NICU). We have made a big commitment to our littlest patients, providing the area's only maternity services.
In 2007, we completed a $4.2 million expansion and remodeling of our outpatient and inpatient surgical suites, going from five to eight fully-equipped surgical suites and expanding outpatient rooms and recovery room to better accommodate patients and their families.
Today, Bravera Health Spring Hill is a 124-bed acute-care facility offering acute medical and surgical care, women's and pediatric services, outpatient surgery, diagnostic imaging, rehabilitation and emergency care 24 hours a day.
