Spring Hill Visitor Information
Current Visitor Guidelines
The Bravera Health approach to patient care depends greatly on engaging families to be part of the healing process. Visitors are welcome as long as the patient consents to receiving guests. Our visitation guidelines are based on guidance from the CDC and are in compliance with the No Patient Left Alone Act. These visitation guidelines help us maintain the safety of our patients, families and essential caregivers while providing for visitation.
Visitor Guidelines
- Each patient will be allowed to have a visitor for a minimum time of 2 hours per day.
- Emergency room patients may have one visitor in the treatment room. The physician or charge nurse may limit visitation based on patient safety concerns. If visitation is limited at any time while in the emergency room, the patient will be allowed to have a visitor for a minimum time of 2 hours per day.
- Patients with visitor restrictions, such as those on isolation precautions including COVID-19, will be allowed a visitor for a limited time during the day. The visitor is required to follow proper isolation protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), for the safety of all concerned.
- Surgical patients are permitted one person to accompany them before and after their procedure. During the procedure, visitors will have the option to wait in the outpatient waiting room or in their car and to leave a contact number with the staff for a status call. For surgical patients admitted to the hospital, visitation is permitted under our general inpatient visitation guidelines.
Screening:
- Visitors are required to self-screen for symptoms of COVID-19 and flu is required at hospital entrances. Anyone entering the building is attesting that they do not have symptoms of COVID-19 or the flu and have not had unprotected close contact with a COVID-19 positive person.
What You Can Do:
- Comply with masking requirements. At all times, we recommend masking in patient care areas and during flu season. Our requirement for masking follows the CDC guidelines. Current masking requirements are available at visitors check-in.
- Perform hand hygiene frequently with an alcohol-based hand rub if your hands are not visibly dirty or with soap and water if hands are dirty.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
- Practice respiratory hygiene by coughing or sneezing into a bent elbow or tissue and then immediately disposing of the tissue.
We also encourage our patients to connect with family and friends by using Facetime or another video communication app.
