Emergency Services
When you have a medical emergency, the team at Bravera Health is prepared. Bravera Health Brooksville and Spring Hill offer 24-hour emergency room services led by trained emergency medicine physicians who are supported by compassionate medical and professional staff. Our emergency room is easy to access and features comfortable surroundings. We are backed by the resources of an integrated health system offering advanced medical technology and diagnostic capabilities for adults and children. Bravera Health Brooksville is an Accredited Chest Pain Center.
Our doctors specialize in emergency medicine, caring for patients with acute illnesses or injuries which require immediate medical attention. Because patients with the greatest need must receive immediate care, all patients are first seen by a registered nurse who assesses and prioritizes patients on the basis of need, not on the order of arrival.
If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 9-1-1.
Bravera Health offers:
- Multi-functional treatment rooms for patients with varied conditions.
- A dynamic ER design focused on providing a better experience for patients and visitors.
- Dedicated health care professionals who are committed to quality care.
- A continued commitment to keep wait times to a minimum.
Once the emergency situation is resolved, we recommend you follow up with your primary care doctor to reassess your overall health. A primary care doctor enhances your overall long-term health by managing your care over an extended period of time called continuity of care. If non-urgent conditions are treated routinely in the ED, your primary care doctor may not have all the necessary information to ensure your continuity of care.
Bravera Health Seven Rivers’ emergency department has two distinct areas of treatment -- one for your minor emergencies and the other for your major health care emergencies. A dedicated area for minor injuries and illnesses is staffed by a nurse practitioner and registered nurses. Hours of operation are 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., seven days a week. Specialty rooms throughout the emergency department are available 24/7 for cardiac emergencies, trauma, orthopedics, pediatrics, gynecological and decontamination. There is also a helipad outside to transport seriously ill and/or trauma patients.
Bravera Health Seven Rivers has earned the Gold Seal of Approval™ from The Joint Commission for Primary Stroke Centers (2007). The first Certified Primary Stroke Center in Citrus and Levy Counties, we follow national standards and guidelines published by the Brain Attack Coalition and the American Stroke Association for stroke care. Less than 1% of all hospitals in the United States have received this certification.
When the opponent is a stroke, you need strong allies. In 2011, the Stroke Emergency Specialists program was initiated. An innovative alliance between Bravera Health Seven Rivers and UF Health, the program strengthens the level of stroke services offered at our facility.
This powerful alliance unites the university’s highly acclaimed faculty physicians, resources and protocols with Bravera Health Seven Rivers'. The alliance provides:
- VIP physician-to-physician consultation
- Priority transfer status to UF Health Shands Hospital, when necessary
- Superior healthcare through shared resources
