Patient Resources
The Bravera Health Seven Rivers bariatric program works as a team. As your team, we aim to ease your concerns and arm you with as much information about weight loss surgery as possible. Our devoted team of professionals will partner with you and your primary care physician to create a personalized plan that benefits both your physical and emotional well-being. With us, it could be easy as 1-2-3.
Step One: Attend a Free Seminar
Start by attending our free educational seminar to help you determine if weight loss surgery is right for you. The interactive session with the surgeon and bariatric team members includes discussing the program, answering questions and explaining the insurance process.
Step Two: Explore Insurance Coverage and Payment Options
The Bravera Health Seven Rivers bariatric team is here to help you determine insurance coverage and payment options. If you have health insurance, we can help you analyze your policy and whether you can qualify for full or partial coverage. In many cases, insurance providers need medical documentation of weight-related health problems, proof of participation in a medically supervised diet program, psychological evaluations and nutritional assessments. We’re here to help you gather the information you need.
If you think surgery could be a game-changer for your journey, but you are concerned about affordability, we can develop a payment plan that's right for you. We can explore financial options, including third-party options for affordable financing.
For those interested in private-pay or self-pay options, patients at Bravera Health Seven Rivers can save money on bariatric surgery through MDsave. Visit MDsave for more information. You can also call us at (352) 513-4783 to learn more about payment options.
Step Three: Meet the Providers
After attending a seminar, call the office to schedule an appointment with the surgeon. During the consultation, the doctor will ask about your medical history, decide which surgery is best for you and discuss your expectations regarding weight loss surgery. Consultations with a registered dietician are also required to meet established guidelines for weight loss surgery. The surgeon may deem other consultations with the team necessary based on your medical history.
