Stroke Care
A stroke, or “brain attack,” occurs when blood flow to an area of the brain is cut off. Without blood, brain cells are deprived of oxygen and begin to die. Receiving immediate care for a stroke is crucial.
According to the National Stroke Association, two million brain cells die every minute during stroke, increasing the risk of permanent brain damage, disability or death. The emergency professionals at Bravera Health are committed to diagnosing and treating strokes quickly and efficiently, when every second counts.
Bravera Health uses minimally invasive treatment options to help avoid or minimize the effects of stroke. The Bravera Health network team of stroke specialists works to diagnosis issues quickly and begin treatment immediately. Through our network of Bravera Health hospitals we offer life-saving care, including:
- Angioplasty and stent placement to open blocked arteries and veins
- Embolizing agents (clotting medications) delivered by catheter to stop blood flow resulting from hemorrhagic strokes
- Thrombolitic therapy deliver clot-dissolving medicine to treat ischemic strokes
- Minimally invasive surgery to remove a clot, or repair arteries and veins
- Stroke rehabilitation
Bravera Health being a network of hospitals strengthens the level of cardiac and stroke services offered. As part of a unified, integrated system, each Bravera Health hospital raises the bar in healthcare by sharing knowledge and expertise, health records, clinical protocols and advanced technology. The result is streamlined operations, better communication, greater efficiency and improved outcomes.
